Spiritual Resistance refers to an increase in spiritual strength by the
person taking it.  Their soul stat is treated as 1 higher per level
for any effect that uses a soul derived roll for defense or resistance.

Spiritual Resistance does NOT affect ACV, DCV, HP, or EP.

For every odd level a character has of Spiritual Resistance, starting at
level 3, the character is protected from Soul (Drain) attacks by one
point.  So, an attack that drains 5 soul hitting a person with Spiritual
Resistance at level 5 would only drain 3 soul a hit.
